The Lausanne 2004 Forum for World Evangelization will be held September 29-October 6 in Pattaya, Thailand, with over 2,800 delegates on a by-invitation-only basis called together to tackle strategic elements related to world evangelization. About the Map Developer

Jane L. Crane is the author/developer of the “Map for Gender Reconciliation.” She will present a paper on it to Lausanne 2004, Issue Group 24, which has been formulated by the Lausanne Committee to work on “Empowering Men and Women to Utilize their Gifts for the Gospel.” She began the Map for Gender Reconciliation for her own study eight years ago, as she asked God what He required of her, and is now writing a book on the subject.

Jane served as the only woman on the five-member Board of Directors for Billy Graham’s Crusade in San Diego in May of ’03, and opened in prayer for Dr. Graham in front of 46,000 people. She founded “Presidential Prayer ’96” and “Presidential Prayer 2000,” which were promoted by Focus on the Family, the 700 Club, and Prison Fellowship. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Youth With A Mission San Diego/Baja, Mexico.

From 2001-2004 she and her husband served as Co-Chairs for the National Day of Prayer in San Diego County, and were the designated affiliates for the county for the National Day of Prayer Task Force chaired nationally by Mrs. Shirley Dobson. They involved over 200 churches in the county across denominations and cultures, and one of their events made national news for its size and energy. In 1994, Jane chaired the March for Jesus, with 25,000 people participating. In 1996, she served for a government-related stint as the Assistant Director for the Host Committee of a major political convention.

Early in her career, Jane specialized in making technical information in various fields understandable to the average person, including some of the first user-friendly computer manuals. Her clients included Toshiba and American Hospital Supply.

For four years, Jane has taught on gender issues in ministry at the Youth With A Mission Discipleship Training School in Ensenada, Mexico, and has been one of its highest rated speakers.
